Paul Chin – Presenter at #ALDCon21

Association for Learning Development in Higher Education Conference 2021

Presenter: Paul Chin (CeLP)

Institution: Liverpool John Moores University

Biography:

In my early career I worked as a learning technology adviser so have always had a keen interest in technology supported learning. Throughout my career I have taught students and delivered staff development courses and really enjoy this ‘front line’ work. This experience has helped contribute towards my PFHEA and CeLP accreditation. My particular scholarly interest is peer learning and assessment, with online peer learning and assessment being the focus of my PhD. As a manager I now get less chance to do as much front line work but it does give me the flexibility to experiment with broader scholarly initiatives. In my current role as Head of Academic Services I lead an academic achievement and academic engagement team, providing a range of library and skills related services for students. I am also a member of the ALDinHE Steering Group.

Session:
