Susan Halfpenny has been working in academic libraries for the last 14 years in liaison and user education roles. She is currently Teaching and Learning Manager at the University of York; the team she manages is responsible for digital literacy advocacy, training and support. During her time working in libraries she has led on a range of initiatives to develop staff and students digital capabilities, including the development of skills frameworks and diagnostics, the rollout of blended digital skills training programmes and the creation of digital citizenship and wellbeing moocs. She has an interest in digital creativity and the use of digital technologies to facilitate and transform teaching and research.
